In our shopping tour, you visit up to 15 factory warehouses of great brands in Melbourne and experience the thrill of incredible bargains and huge savings off recommended retail prices. Great fundraising opportunity – Going shopping for a bargain is a great way to spend a day in Melbourne, but you can eliminate all that guilt by being able to raise money for your organisation or group at the same time. Our prices are set to a minimum, so that you can raise more money.

The tour organiser also receives a fantastic 10% commission on the total amount spent by his/her group during the shopping tour, regardless of the number of people on the bus or outlets visited. Throughout the day we update the tour organiser on the fundraising balance and, within seven days of the tour, we send him/her a commission cheque along with a breakdown of spending at each outlet.

Fundraising bonus – Free raffle tickets and fabulous raffle prizes for all groups. Extra raffle prizes provided for groups of 30 people or more, and extra bonuses for groups spending more than $6000.

Non fundraising tours are available at a lesser cost, as these don't include the commission or spending incentives.

Tour options

Tour option 1 – Shop 'Til You Drop (12–15 outlets)
This shopping tour is strictly for hard core shoppers who are there for the sole purpose of "full on" bargain buying. It includes visiting up to 15 fabulous factory outlets with a stop for a BYO luncheon at one of Melbourne's parks or gardens, takeaway shops or an "eat on the run" lunch. Do you have what it takes?!

Tour option 2 – Get Off Your Feet & Eat (8–12 outlets)
This shopping tour is for connoisseurs of fine food as well as for serious shoppers! It includes visiting 8 to 12 of Melbourne's best warehouses and a sumptuous two-course meal at a well-known restaurant. It also includes a complimentary glass of champagne or wine and tea/coffee.

Tour option 3 – Spend & Win (6–8 outlets)
"Go Shop Around" at some of Melbourne's best bargain warehouses. Once you've found offers of a lifetime, we travel to Crown Casino for lunch and hopefully a profitable time had by all!

Tour Option 4 – Your Bus, No Fuss (10–12 outlets)
Book and pay for your own coach with Go Shop Around to have the ultimate bargain shopping and fundraising experience. Options 2 or 3 can be incorporated into your shopping day by adding $19 per person to the tour price.

Tips for the tour's participants

• You will be trying on a range of clothes throughout the day, so wear a comfortable and simple outfit
• If visiting food outlets, bring an esky
• It may be a good idea to bring along chest, hip and waist measurements of your partner and/or children for clothing purchases
• As all warehouses are pre-booked at designated times, be punctual at the beginning and throughout the day and;
• Maximise your fundraising by refraining from visiting neighbouring outlets and by spending only in the warehouses on the tour itinerary.

Hints for the Tour Organiser

Send out invitations at least two months prior to your tour if possible. Download our printable invitation sheet.

Ask all those invited to bring a friend or two. You may also wish to involve a similar organisation or group to increase the number of participants in the shopping tour. 

Strength in numbers – You may also wish to combine with another of our groups with similar interests to your own.

Use our expertise – Our experienced, friendly and flexible consultants will advise you in regards to the Melbourne's outlets that will best suit your needs. View a list of suggested outlets and don't hesitate to contact Go Get Around Tours.

Play it safe – Charge your group slightly extra (perhaps the price category below your expected numbers; view our complete price list) in order to cover yourself if numbers unexpectedly drop. If you end up with extra money, add it towards your fundraising or buy drinks on the day.

Group size – We understand that some people may be slow to reply and/or pay for the tour. Finalisation of your tour numbers should occur at least three weeks prior to the tour and payment up to two weeks prior.

Christmas rush – Get in early for a pre-Christmas tour, as demand is high from September to December.

Don't leave me!!! As warehouse times are pre-booked, please ensure that all members of your group are aware of the importance of punctuality both in regards to pick-up time and during the shopping tour.

Keep all your commission – Ask your group to refrain from visiting neighbouring outlets to those that you are booked into, in order to ensure you receive your full commission.

We have no financial interest in any of the warehouses, so we design our tours in order that you receive the best bargains possible.

Cost and payment

• Our tour prices are set to a minimum, so that you can raise more money for your organisation.
• Non fundraising tours are available at a lesser cost, as these don't include the commission or spending incentives.
• Prices are based on pick-up within the Melbourne metropolitan area and numbers of tour participants on the day.
• Country shoppers are more than welcome with attractive packages designed especially to suit your needs for your special day in Melbourne. Please contact Go Get Around Tours to discuss your shopping tour.
• Children under 16 travel free (if travelling with a paying adult; lunch costs $19).
• A $150-deposit is required to confirm your booking; deposit is refundable on, at least, a two-month notice.
• Full payment at least 14 days prior to the tour is needed for your shopping tour to go ahead.
